How does VAT reimbursement / VAT-free delivery work at Octopus Office?

Octopus Office offers its customers VAT-free delivery / VAT reimbursement. This is done as follows: The VAT paid when placing the order in our online shop is reimbursed, or the invoice is issued without VAT when using the payment method “CASH WITH ORDER”.

A differentiation is made between delivery to EU countries and non-EU countries.

 

Delivery to EU countries:

The following requirements have to be met for customers with invoice address and / or delivery address within the European Union:

  1. Availability of a valid VAT registration ID at the time of the order. (Please indicate the VAT ID in your customer data and/or in the comment field during the ordering process.)
  2. The customer data stored at Octopus Office must match the registered data of the VAT ID, in particular the company name and address.
  3. Successful check of the VAT ID at the Federal Central Tax Office in Saarlouis by Octopus Office.

 
If these criteria are met, we will reimburse the VAT amount according to your payment method.
If you choose the payment method “CASH WITH ORDER”, we issue the invoice VAT-free, and you pay the net amount without VAT by bank transfer.

Delivery to non EU countries, such as Switzerland, Norway:

Customers with invoice address and delivery address in a non-EU country will be refunded the VAT paid in the ordering process. The reimbursement is effected according to the payment method used for the order.
If you choose the payment method “CASH WITH ORDER”, we issue the invoice VAT-free, and you pay the net amount without VAT by bank transfer.
