Important:
The current firmware update 1910 and 1912 from April 2019 is blocking alternative (non OEM) cartridges and refilled cartridges. These updates are usually carried out automatically by the printer, without asking for the users permission or stating an information message. Errormessages caused by this update state "Cartridge error - defekt cartridge", "Remove and reinstall indicated cartridge" "Cartridge not intended for the use in this printer"

Check your firmware before buying non original cartridges:
Swipe downwards on your printer display, press Info, scroll to the bottom line, Firmware Version: EDWINXPP1N002.1912A or MCP2CN1910AR.

How to deactivate the automatic Update mechanism:
Press the gear symbol (Setup), click "Printer Maintenance", "Update the Printer", "Printer update options" select "Do not check"
