The German-made Octopus Fluids® piston converter replaces conventional fountain pen ink cartridges. Instead of simple plastic cartridges filled with average ink, the Octopus Fluids converter allows you to prescribe noble inks with fantastic colours and excellent writing characteristics in your existing fountain pen.

Application:
To fill the converter with ink directly from the ink bottle:

Variant 1:
You hold the opening of the converter in the ink jar and suck the ink upwards by turning the piston inside. Then insert the converter into the fountain pen like a cartridge and let some ink flow into the fountain pen's ink duct by briefly turning it to the left. Your fountain pen is immediately ready to write!

Variant 2:
With the help of the converter, you can fill your fountain pen like a piston fountain pen. Dip the nib deep into the inkwell and draw the ink through the ink duct into the converter by turning the plunger clockwise.

The capacity of the converter is approx. 0.75 ml, which corresponds to the content of an ink cartridge. It is compatible with many fountain pens with a standard ink duct connection (2.6 mm), for example:
