Test inks are mostly used to check material properties. In most cases, the German Institute for Standardisation (DIN) provides standards for this. For example, DIN EN ISO 11605 for tests of plastic packaging for medical devices to be sterilised. Besides DIN ISO, ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) is another standardisation guideline. This American guideline essentially serves to standardise testing and analysis procedures.
