Photo and artist paper for printing, art and transfers

Photo and artist paper includes specially designed papers and synthetic media for high-quality prints, creative painting techniques and personalised transfer projects. At Octopus, you can find different options developed for specific printing processes, ink types and artistic applications. The range includes glossy inkjet photo paper, smooth alcohol ink paper, compact photo labels and sublimation paper for heat transfer projects.

Coated inkjet photo paper is a practical choice for conventional photo printing. Its smooth, glossy surface supports controlled ink absorption and helps reproduce photographs, graphics and colourful designs with clear details. Compact sizes such as 10 x 15 cm are suitable for snapshots, sample images, small presentations, scrapbooks and other creative projects. The paper weight also provides a useful balance between flexibility and stability.

Alcohol ink paper has a very smooth, low-absorbency surface. Instead of immediately soaking into the material, alcohol-based inks remain on the surface and can be moved, blended or distributed with air and suitable tools. This makes the paper ideal for flowing colour transitions, abstract compositions, cellular patterns and experimental painting techniques. Different sheet sizes and weights allow you to create both small studies and larger artworks.

Sublimation paper works as a temporary carrier for sublimation ink. You first print the design in reverse using a compatible inkjet printer and then transfer it to a suitable surface with heat and pressure. Common applications include personalised polyester textiles and specially coated products such as mugs, signs, decorative panels and promotional items.

When selecting photo and artist paper, always check the compatibility of the paper, printer, ink and final surface. Paper weight affects handling and stability, while the coating and format determine whether the medium is suitable for photography, fluid art or heat transfer. Choosing the correct paper helps you achieve more controlled printing, painting and customisation results in professional workshops, retail environments and private creative spaces.
