Get ready for an almost magical writing experience! The Octopus Fluids Sheen Ink collection offers a range of magical inks with a very special two-color effect. Each ink is inspired by a mythical creature, be it the fairytale unicorn, the mysterious Medusa, the enigmatic Djinn or the shy sea serpent. The colors of these inks are just as magical as their names:
The way they look changes depending on the viewing angle and the paper used. A metallic sheen in shades such as copper, gold or pink overlays the base color of the ink, creating a visual symphony of colors.
The sheen effect depends on the chosen paper and writing instrument, and you will experience different sheen effect strengths. The fascinating effect works best on smooth, non-absorbent paper. Wherever your writing instrument releases plenty of ink, the shiny metallic sheen is created.
To enjoy the sheen effect in all its glory, we recommend high-quality, non-absorbent writing paper and fountain pens with a generous ink flow and a broad nib. The effect is particularly clear when you write with a glass nib or calligraphy fountain pen or use a refillable brush pen. To show off just the base color without sheen, use absorbent paper. The inks are water-soluble and dry somewhat more slowly than conventional inks due to their composition.
With the included ink converter, you can easily change the writing color without ink cartridges. The converter is suitable for fountain pens with a standard cartridge system and fits in all fountain pens with a barrel that has space for two cartridges. It is not compatible with fountain pens from the Lamy, Montblanc, Parker and Waterman brands.
