Description

30 ml Octopus Fluids Sheen Ink – with Ink Converter

Get ready for an almost magical writing experience! Octopus Fluids Sheen Inks create a fascinating two-colour effect. Each ink is inspired by a mythical creature – from the enchanting Unicorn and mysterious Medusa to the enigmatic Djinn and elusive Sea Serpent.

The appearance of the ink changes depending on the viewing angle and the paper you use: a contrasting, metallic-looking sheen in shades such as copper, gold or pink appears over the base colour. The effect is particularly intense in areas where more ink collects on the paper.

  • 30 ml fountain pen ink with a fascinating two-colour sheen effect
  • Brilliant colour and excellent ink flow
  • Includes an ink converter for filling directly from the bottle
  • Made in Dresden, Germany, using exclusively vegan ingredients

How to bring out the sheen
The intensity of the effect depends on the paper, nib and ink flow. It develops best on smooth, low-absorbency, fountain pen-friendly paper. We particularly recommend Tomoe River and Iroful paper. Other suitable papers such as Oxford Optik Paper or Canson Marker Paper can also bring out the sheen beautifully. On more absorbent paper, the base colour of the ink will be more prominent.

The effect is particularly intense with broader nibs and generous ink flow. Glass dip pens, calligraphy fountain pens and refillable brush pens are also excellent choices. As Sheen Inks are water-soluble and specially formulated to create this effect, they may take slightly longer to dry than conventional fountain pen inks.

Practical ink converter included
The included converter allows you to fill a compatible fountain pen directly from the ink bottle. It is suitable for many fountain pens that use international standard ink cartridges, provided there is sufficient space inside the barrel.

Please note: The converter is not suitable for LAMY, Montblanc, Parker or Waterman fountain pens, or for pens with barrels that are too short, narrow or strongly tapered. This includes compact pocket pens such as the Kaweco Sport and models such as the Diplomat Viper. If in doubt, please check your fountain pen's converter compatibility before use.

Whether for special letters, bullet journals, poetry, greeting cards or everyday notes – Octopus Fluids Sheen Inks turn writing into a fascinating play of colour.
