Chipresetter for Canon PGI-550, CLI-551 inkjet cartridges for unlimited resets

After the chip has been reseted, your printer will accept the refilled ink cartridge with a full ink level status.
This way you avoid the annoying warning "cartridge low" or "cartridge empty".

While printing, the chip counts the printed pages and transmits the theoretical ink level to the printer. Once you used up all ink the chip will indicate "cartridge empty". Simultaneously the printer is monitoring the ink level with a light sensor. A light beam focused on a prism underneath the cartridge is measuring the grade of reflection which differs with full cartridges and empty cartridges. Once the chip and the printer indicate that the ink has been depleted you will receive the warning "cartridge empty". Now you have to refill and reset your Canon PGI-550, CLI-551 cartridge. Do not use universal printer ink! Using this chip resetter you only get one final ink level warning and you can print the full amount of pages the cartridge has been designed for.

The chip resetter is designed for chips on original Canon PGI-550 and CLI-551 cartridges.
These cartridges are used in the following Canon printer types:

How to reset your Canon PGI-550 and CLI-551?
The whole reset process takes a maximum of one minute. The device is powered via a USB cable. To use the resetter please connect the cable to any available USB slot or mobile phone charger. A red LED will indicate your resetter is ready for use. To comfortably handle smaller CLI-551 cartridges we included a reset adapter. It will aid in the precise positioning of the chip on the chip resetter pins. The bigger PGI-550 cartridges can be resetted without a separate adapter. Place the Adapter on your chip resetter and slide your CLI-551 cartridge into the slot to connect the chip and the resetter pins. As soon as the the resetter´s pins are correctly linked to the chip the LED flashes green shortly and the reset process starts. After a successful chip rest the red LED will turn red again. Now you can remove the cartridge. After the cartridge has been refilled it can be reassembled in the printer and used for the usual amount of pages of a new original printer cartridge.

The chip resetter is designed for original cartridges only. It may work with setup cartridges (printers scope of delivery), alternative or rebuild cartridges but without any guarantee.
Does not work on cartridges with deaktivated ink level indicatior.
