Refill Instructions for Samsung INK-C210, refilling and changing the chip
There are 3 different ways to refill the Samsung cartridge INK-C210. But only one of them is recommendable.One method is to remove the label from the upper side and to refill the cartridge through the filler opening below. The problem with this method is that if you fill in the ink too fast it leaks from the lower ink outlet. Another strategy is to insert the needle into the small holes in the sponge at the ink outlet. If you fill in more ink than recommended it may mix inside.The easiest way to refill these cartridges is to trickle the ink onto the ink outlet. From our experience we can tell you that with the other strategies you either destroy the sponge or risk blending the colours. Therefore we highly recommend the third method which we explain to you in detail below.
Preparing for refilling:
You will need the following:
- needles and syringes
- 1 new chip in exchange for the original one
- Ink for Samsung (cyan, magenta, yellow) we recommend to use Octopus Fluids
The recommended the amount of ink is 3ml. This number refers to a completely empty cartridge. If there is ink left inside the cartridge you can not fill in as much ink.
Please do not try to remove the remaining ink from the cartridge for example with a centrifuge. By this you could damage the felt that is used as sponge inside the cartridge.
Refilling the Cartridge Samsung INK-C210:
Take your cartridge Samsung INK-C210 and carefully remove the label from the upper side (picture 1). Afterwards turn around the cartridge so that the ink outlet is at the top and trickle ink onto the outlet (picture 2). The sponge absorbs the ink quickly. If it can not soak up any more ink the cartridge is full.The refilling does not take long. Within 2 minutes 5 ml ink are soaked into the sponge.Before you can reinsert the cartridge into your printer you have to change the chip. The chip monitors the ink filling level and signals to the printer when the cartridge is empty. This process can not be switched off. Therefore, you need a new chip, which you can also find in our shop.
Changing the Chip for Samsung INK-C210:
At the front of the cartridge the chip is attached with a small lever. Push the lever downwards (picture 3) and carefully remove the chip. Take the new chip and insert it as shown in picture 4.
