Philips PFA 822, MFD 6020, MFD 6050, MFD 6080, instruction for using chip card
Before refilling your Philips toner cartouche, you have to insert the chip card into your printer to make sure you have a correct toner fill level. The chip card backs up the toner fill level to "full".
Inserting the card into the card reader of the printer Philips PFA 822, MFD 6020, MFD 6050, MFD 6080:
Insert the card (as shown in pict. 1) into the card reader. Please make sure that you insert the card with the chip on top into your printer.
Afterwards, the following message comes up on the display:
„change toner?
YES = OK – NO = C“
Press the "OK" - button now. The reading process starts now.
ASubsequently the following message appears:
„Open front cover, change toner"
Open the cover and take out the toner cartouche. You can refill it now and put it back into your printer afterwards.
Safety instructions for the handling of refill toners
Refill toner and toner powder may cause serious health problems if not handled carefully. We recommend always using breathing protection or suction chambers while filling toner cartridges. Furthermore, toner powder and refill toner can be highly flammable with an appropriate oxygen mixture. Please note as well, that you should touch the photoconductor drum in no case or expose it to direct sunlight. This could lead to faulty print-outs.
