Refill Instructions for Samsung CLP-320, CLP-325, CLX-3185

Refilling the Samsung CLP-320, CLP-325, CLX-3185 cartridge is relatively easy. Before you start to take the cartridge apart please read these instructions thoroughly.

We explain to you the fast method to refill the Samsung CLP-320, CLP-325, CLX-3185 cartridge. The side cover of the toner chamber has to be removed which works best with a small pliers. Before you can refill the toner cartridge, you should pour out the rest of the toner powder or aspirate it with a toner powder vacuum cleaner. Otherwise, the different physical and chemical characteristics of the old and the new toner powders could lead to clotting. After you have done that you can fill in the new toner into the cartridge.

Screw a funnel on the bottle with refill toner and fill in the toner powder into the cartridge. Proceed slowly to prevent the excessive formation of dust. It should be enough to tilt the bottle a little and the powder runs into the cartridge.

The cartridges are equipped with a chip that measures the filling level. Therefore you need to exchange this chip after every refilling. Take the exchange chip and remove the cover of the adhesive tape (picture 8). Now you can simply glue the new chip onto the original one. Make sure that the spacer below the chips contact plates is pointing downwards (picture 9) or the square is located at the right side (picture 10). By exchanging the chip the printer does recognise the cartridge as full. Please refill toner powder every time, so that your cartridge gets the full amount of pages to print. If you forego refilling the printer might recognise the cartridge as empty. In this case the chip looses its function. Every chip can be used once.
