Refill instruction for refillable ink cartridges Brother LC-980, LC-1100

For refilling refillable cartridges Brother LC-980 and LC-1100, you need the following tools:

• syringes with needles
• 30 ml of black ink
• 20 ml of each colored ink (cyan, magenta, yellow)

For filling refillable cartridges for Brother LC-980 and LC-1100, please follow these simple steps

Take the refillable ink cartridge out of your printer and put it on the table in front of you. There is a colored and a transparent plug on the back side of the cartridge (pict. 1). For refilling, you have to pull out the transparent plug. Lead the ink syringe slowly into the refillable cartridge and fill it up with ink (pict. 2).

Attention: Please make sure to lead the needle straight into the cartridge, because there are foils inside the cartridge which must not be damaged. When you have injected the ink, you can close the cartridge with the transparent closing plug again and reinsert it into your printer as usual. After you have put the cartridge back into your printer, you have to remove the colored aeration plug (as shown in picture 1). This aeration plug equalizes the pressure inside the cartridge during the printing process, so there is no vacuum.
